Building digital skills. Creating access to opportunity.
For many learners, it's the first keyboard they've touched.
The Urooj Digital Literacy Program helps young people — particularly girls and learners from underserved communities — build practical digital skills for education, employment, communication and everyday life.
Through community-based, hands-on learning, the program creates a supportive environment where learners develop essential computer skills, practise using digital tools, and build confidence.
It isn't about the computer.
Access to digital skills is increasingly essential for learning, work, communication and participation in society. Yet many young people still face barriers such as limited access to computers, learning resources and structured digital education.
We believe digital literacy is not just about learning to use a computer. It is about creating the confidence and access needed to explore opportunities and participate in an increasingly digital world.
Seven practical modules.
The program combines practical instruction with regular practice, so learners apply what they learn in real-life situations.

Urooj's computer training program has truly opened up a new world for me. I had always felt limited by the lack of computer access at my government school, but Urooj's classes have given me the skills and confidence to explore new opportunities. I'm so grateful for the chance to learn something I never thought was possible.
Digital literacy can be a first step towards greater educational, professional and social opportunities. Through practical learning and community-based support, Urooj aims to ensure more young people have the skills and confidence to participate in the digital world.
Our goal extends beyond completing a course. We want learners to keep practising, explore new opportunities, support others in their communities, and become more confident participants in an increasingly digital society.
Keyboards, certificates and a lot of concentration.
